FAQ

Licensing

  • What is a font license?

A font license specifies the terms and conditions of use. Essentially it gives you, the licensee, the right to use a font in a conditional manner. You do not own the font itself. For example, it is comparable to that of a movie, commercial or television show licensing a song - the publisher of that song is granting the rights of usage for a fee. Once you purchase the license, there is a legally binding contract between you and LuxTypo in the form of an “End User License Agreement”, or commonly know as an EULA.

The licensing fee is a one-time cost for ongoing use of the fonts, as per the terms of the license you purchase. There are no recurring fees.

  • What should I consider when purchasing a font license?
